Check the gapping on your plugs also. The missfire could be a combo of things, but usually its the plugs being crappy or gapped too big. If your motor only has 15k miles, its prob not the rotor etc ( unless its not factory honda parts). If the plugs don't fix the problem, i would progress to the rotor, cap etc because they aren't expensive to replace. Alot of guys do just fine with the factory ignition. There are 400whp cars running around on the stock stuff.

You should check out Uberdata...here are some price comparisons for UD vs Hondata.

UBERDATA
$55-$85 Willem burner on http://www.ebay.com or BURN1 burner http://www.moates.net
$15 http://www.moates.net UBER1 ecu chipping kit (everything you need to chip your ECU)
$25 send your ECU to moates and they'll install the UBER1 kit for you
$2-$15 Cell phone data cable--solder it into your ECU to make allow it to datalog moates might do it for you too
$330 PLX 300 wideband O2 kit--you can use any WB setup, this is the one I'm getting

HONDATA
$495 - Hondata S200 with boost option
$25-$85 to pay somebody to chip your ECU
$330 PLX 300 WB O2 kit

That's a rundown of how much it would cost to get each system. In both cases you'll probably want to get bigger injectors, a better ignition system and also some dyno tuning. If you want more info on Uberdata check out the links in my sig.

depends on how well tuned you want your car. If you want part throttle as well, it will obviously be more than just tuning under WOT. Also, if you want the ignition fine tuned as well it will take more time. I would say that a shop should be able to do a full tune within like 3-4 hours. Well at least that's about how long I usually take.

Some engine management and a WB O2 sensor will solve any tuning problems, if thats the case...
If its mechanical (Fuel pressure, bad ignition system, low compression) then obviously it wont. I would get a WB o2 sensor kit and see how your fuel is looking. Probably not it since it should throw o2 sensor thresholds faults as well...

I live here in Tampa also and supposedly everyone makes the trip to Gainsville (i think) to see a tuner called Mase...

Man I had the same exact problem. I tried everything, the car ran fine but the CEL always came on. Switched to Hondata S200B and now its all better, haven't had a CEL since. Bue box sucks.

I think a typical shop will charge ~$100 per hour for tuning.
