Boosted D16Z6 vs B18A/B..
I'm biased about the potential of the D16Z6 because so many people have different opinions on it.. So I want your opinions on this.. Would it be better to take the D16Z6 put some pistons/rods in it and boost it around 16 psi or to take a bone stock nonvtec B18 and run 8-9 lbs.. All of this going thru a homemade turbo setup. Which would consist of full fuel management (injectors, afc, fuel pump) and a decent NPR or Starion FMIC and 2.5" I/C piping, all mandrel bends. So even being homemade it would still be a decent setup, also I plan on a turbo the size of a 14B. All I want is to put a 5th gen near 101 mph traps so I don't mind if the B18 has more potential for power, I just want what would be cheaper to reach my goal and be able to run without worrying about the engine's life span.

Re: Boosted D16Z6 vs B18A/B.. (RyanSVT)
what I meant by full fuel management was that it will be tuned slightly using a fuel computer.. sorry for any confusion, I didn't mean a full stand alone management system. Also the only reason I was talking about internals on the D16Z6 is because all these sohc turbo boys say they can't handle anything above 9 psi, but I don't know.. I've been into DSM's for a while and I'm not that familiar with D series motors and I've heard B18B's can handle near 15 psi but if I can manage even just a 13.9 with a turbo sohc with a stock bottom end I'll be satisfied and won't have to go thru the trouble of a swap.
