boosted b18c1 with micro-tech mt-4
I have a crx with a b18c1 turbo engine with 480whp and the guy that dynoed the car locked the distributor to 24 degrees. The micro-tech mt-4 is a fuel only management system. Is the timing correct there or should I retard or advance it?? I'm looking to get the best timing setup!! Any help??

Depends on the entire setup/fuel type.
but if it doesn't detonate and there is where it makes the most power, leave as it is.
Kinda old skool not having ignition controll, but it works.

Re: boosted b18c1 with micro-tech mt-4 (Semnos)
Well, I have two setups. Low boost (19 psi 93 octane) and high boost (26 psi racing fuel) I have 390 hp on low boost. I'm kinda new to this. What does detonation do? Does it misfire on high rpm or something or you don't feel anything??

You really need to discuss this with your tuner before posting on Honda Tech as we have no details on your setup, ignition synch, timing map, etc.

Re: (Max500)
Yes, I was there. I don't know exactly, but the guy told me he is leaving the engine a little bit rich for the safe side. When I took the spark plugs off, they are like a little black. That means that it's rich on fuel!! I have eagle rods, wiseco pistons 81mm (dish pistons) block guard, acl bearings, ls crank and the head has titanium retainer with double valve springs, bronce valve guide and gsr cams. I ran a 11.20 @ 131mph on low boost 19 psi, but my 60ft is very bad ( 1.84 )

Re: (alpha)
2 questions,
U have a 480WHP honda and u didnt do any ignition timing?
And u think a 1.8 60ft is bad?
I the car really made 480 w/o ignition tuning then it would make a bunch more, and run better with some real managment.

Yes, I have a 480whp honda with the distributor locked at 24 degrees.
I just was wondering if I could made more power by moving the distributor a little bit!! I know people that have 1.60 ft with their FWD without wheeliebars.
Does locking the rear shocks help the car with the 60ft??

things that will help lower 60ft
lsd
slicks
traction bars
As for the original question in the post...
Why dont you ditch that fuel management and get some real engine management to control everything?
It would suck for you to have spent all that money onthat engine and it blow because it's not tuned right.. Real EMS only costs a few hundred bucks, plus tuning.
