Default Boost Problems ! ! !

I finally finished the install of my kit and actually got to drive around today for the first time in one month. I hear the turbo spinning, but my boost gauge is not registering anything but maybe 1-2psi . . . sometimes nothing, and my car doesn't feel all that powerfull at all. My car honestly felt like it had more power when I had my intake and headers. Here's my setup:

92 Civic EX 4 Door
D16z6
14b Mitsu Turbo
DSM Injectors
HF Manifold
3" Downpipe (open DP at the moment)
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
Greddy Type S BOV (Not to loud for some reason)
Custom front mount intercooler
VAFC Hack
NGK 2 Steo Colder Sparks (0.34 Gap)

My BOV doesn't seem to really be sounding off. I popped the hood and gave the car some gas and could feel air coming out of the BOV after I let off the gas so I know that is working. I checked all the vacum hoses for leaks, but there was none (all hoses are brand new) I checked the intercooler piping, charge piping and all and it just all and all seems fine. All & all my car just isn't making the boost that it should be. My friend has the same setup pretty much on his accord same turbo and injectors along with the vafc hack, but he is making 7psi and we got the same turbo. Can someone please help me and let me know . . . .

#1 Why I am not fully boosting &
#2 Why my Greddy Type S BOV is so quiet?

other then that the car runs like a champ.

maybe its your wastegate? i read in another topic that if it is open you will not build up any boost but the turbine will continue spin...it could be that but im not that sure i dont have much experience with boosting

that was the problem at first . . . my gate was open, but we fixed that and it still doesn't really seem to make boost, but I am certain that the turbo is spinning, and it kinda sounds like the BOV is going off too. Someone please help me . . . my car has been down for about 30 days now and I just want to BOOST

well, was this a NEW kit or a used kti first off?
Next look to see all your piping connectors are properly clamped and very tight. a loose clam will cause this. If you have a fmic check to make sure it is not damaged and allow pressure to blow out of a crack init. Finally, the wastegate arm is adjsutable so the gate could have been messed with and jsut needs to be re-adjusted. Loosen the nut then disconnect it from the wastegate arm. next rotate the arm 1 full turn tighter. Should be towards the motor away from you. then reconnect it back and see what happens. After that go in 1/2 turn increments till you get .4bar or 5-5.5 lbs of boost.

Where did you put the vacuum line to the greddy S? We had it on the wrong one once and it was very quiet. Put it to the top one and it was loud. Make sure the vac source goes to the top nipple. The bottom one is just a vent.

thanks guys I appreciate it. It seems like a leak to me because you can totally hear the turbo spinning crystal clear, but you just don't feel a power increase, and the boost gauge is only reading lke 0-1 psi. Hopefully I can get it fixed since my car has been down for a month. If anyone has any other idea's or any other questions to ask me that might give them an idea let me know.

you sure you fixed the wastegate? If all your pipes are hooked up right and vac lines arent leaking it sounds like your wastegate is staying open.

does it sslowly increase as you go higher in rpm's? If so make sure all your manifold bolts are torqued properly. I was having trouble with my greddy kit, it would build boost @ like 5800 and slowly increase.....ended up my manifold was leaking when pressure started to build....this was because my manifold bolts weren't tightened properly!

Just my experiance, sounds kinda similar.....good luck.

edit: when this was going on my blowoff made almost no noise....(greddy type-s)
