Default Boost problem

I am running a tial waste gate with a .45 spring in it. I have not bought a boost controller yet and i am regulating boost off the wastegate. My problem or question is, on my Greddy boost gauge (it is rated in bar) I am only seeing it boost to like .35 (5 psi) does this sound right or am i loosing pressure somewhere? Any suggestions on what i can double check? Could it be that my wastegate is adjusted incorrectly and is not regulated to the full .45 that my spring is regulated to?Any help would be appreciated.

I am running the spearco that comes with the drag kit and the vac.is coming off of the turbo, it is the only thing tied to that source. Boost gauge, BOV, and FPR are all off the intake vac.

I agree with the above. Intercooler PSI drop. Depending on the quality and flow of an IC you lose either a little PSI or a lot. You're going to have to slap an MBC on there that bypasses the wastegate to squeeze anymore PSI out of it. Trust me that it is better to have lower PSI with an IC than higher PSI but no IC. I'd just about give my left nut for an FMIC right about now. (Right one's more valuable.. I guess... )

You usually don't adjust the wastegate to control boost, that's what an MBC is for. Install an MBC and boost guage if you haven't already. I made my own custom one for around $10 bucks, search for my post here in FI on it. Good luck.
