Default Boost and PCV system

I know, this mainly pertains to my Ford, but You guys on honda-tech are only ones I know who to ask.

I know I did research on this a while ago, but untril recently I was told I did my Catch can set up is wrong. So im making this post to get a better view of the situation.

Here is what I did/am doing, I took the PCV can that came on the car stock complely off, I welded an adaptor plate to the hole on the block and some metal tube, I then took -10 AN SS line from the tube and ran it into the catch can. I did this only due to before I just vented it straight to the ground, and my tuner got made cuz it spit oil all over the dyno.

Naw, I was recenty told I need to block that hole completly off, and take the line I had going to the hole in the block and run it to my downpipe.

Fell free to chime in as im not even sure about blocking that hole out at all.

my set up,, u can see the PCV line going to the catch can, and 2 from the valve cover. Did I do this right, or will this cause boost to leak past piston rings?

Basically what you see is on my Ford, the PCV can is on the front of the block under the turbo header, I took the stock can OFF and welded an plate and a tube off it, then ran the -10an Line to the catch can. Then I have 2 ports from front and (stock) back of the valve cover to the can, and theres a filter on top.

The more ventilation the better. You can keep it the way you have. I believe what that other person was telling you to do was set up a form of a slash cut breather. When you route a line to the downpipe/dump tube (at an angle) it will create a suction and further help with ventilation. There's a sticky on this in the FAQ, but some of the pictures don't work anymore.

But yeah, you've got the right idea with your set up. It's fine.

ok did more searching and reaserch, I found out you can use the intake side of the turbo as well, Its caled intake slash cut, But id rather not do that, I dont want my turbo sucking in oil.

So, seems the Exhaust slash cut is the best idea for me. Now, id need help on how I would do this, with my already set up catch can?

Mabey I need to take the stock port on the valve cover and run it into the exhaust? Im clueless.

valve cover to the catch can and from the block to the catch can and a filter on top of the catch can that should work.

i think the way you have it is perfectly fine. you should just calm down, and leave it alone. what kinda car is that, a zx2? you got more pics? i used to have 2 of those cars befor i got my 2 hondas.

I wouldn't change it unless you get tons of blowby in the can. Looks like some nice work too, good job

yes, im not one bit embarrased to say its a ZX2, FUY built, probably one of a kinda, you wontr see many guys like me doing this to this car. So its unique, and for the most part, its total SLEEPER.

Yes, im getting a bit of oil in the catch can....... but then again, the front port of the valve cover doesnt have a baffle.............

ya, that was gonna be my first question. A drainback line might be a good idea and maybe a baffle for the VC. Or if it's not a big deal for you maintain just leave it.

I may do this:

Take the Stock valve cover nipple, 5/8" , and run a hole from it to a slash cut into the downpipe. and keep everything else the same.

Sound good? this will alleveiate the pressure that builds up in the motor due to windage, will help the rings seal and help eliminate less blow by.
