Default Boost not holding for some reason?

Hey i just got my turbo setup runnin nice, and we were around gettin on it to make sure nothin was wrong, and it was runnin fine boosting 9psi.

Then we get home and i notice the boost gets to like 5psi and then drops to 0 like its losing boost or something.

SO i think its either a loose charge pipe or possibly a vaccum leak?

what do you think?

You need to pressurize the system with an air compressor and check for any hissing. This is a very low boost pressure to loose so much, it has to be a large hole or maybe your bov is staying open when it should be closed?

~ so your saying you think its a vacuum leak? It didnt feel like it was losing boost, just the gauge was showing it losing boost.

I'm saying it may possible be a vacum leak but to loose that much would have to be a LARGE hole. Are you running a boost controller or just a spring? Also was it running at 9 then dropping to 5 then 0 or, it wont make up to 9 anymore? Also if you are running a cheap gauge it may just be sloppy. MAybe the line got pinched going to the gauge.

yeah it is a pretty cheapo guage- ebay "SPW" 7 color. it was cheap.

i am running off the gate and spring, no controller yet.

I was saying it was running fine at 9psi, then for some reason or other it just started going to 5 then dropping to 0.

wheres before it would go to 9 then negative when i shift and such, like its supposed to.
