To boost or not to boost
That is the question. I have my B18a in myDA, getting a B16 later on about April to boost(Low 13's high 12's) but my question is, would it be worth it to boost the LS just for ***** and giggles? it's got over 200,000 miles on it, but I can get parts and pieces for a nice lil' 6lb daily driver easily. Should I, or just save up for the B16? I wanna be able to hang with my friends(85% are boosted) on the freeway right now, but it's hard But I'm not sure if it's really worth it to save money for the LS, when It won't be in there long. Decisions, decisions. Thanks in advance to any and all advice you are willing to give me.
I would build the block, but I'm not really trying to spend hella money on this motor cause I'm getting a JDM B16 to play with. I just want a little bit of LS fun before hand. My buddy tells me that I could boost safely on 8lbs with just a stock bottom end. May just do that.

Okay, so I decided to boost the LS now
It's got over 200,000 miles on it. What all should be done to ensure it lasts me till I can build something else?? Gaskets are still gravy, no leaks, I have to do a leakdown and compression test, need new cam seal, gotta convert to OBD1 cause I'm gonna Uberdata it(thanks Tay), that's about all I know for now. I wanna be careful with this motor, it's been through alot and it's all I got for now. It's gotta last me till I can get a new B18 bottom end or a B16, whichever comes first.

unless your friend has a really good tune for you to have to convert to uberdata go ahead, but seeing your obdo, why not use turboedit and not have to convert? save you some money, i used xenocron's tune from homemadeturbo.com, 75 dollars he socketed my ecu for me and put his dyno tune on it....tuned at 13psi with 450's
, well turboedit style tune sooo we'll see how long she lasts.
