I have what you see in my sig... Anyone running a seperate ignition setup? I'm thinking about gettingan ignition setup from MSD. Would it be worth it?

Also, what else can I do for more power? Nitrous? I read that a dry kit is the best way to go on a FI setup. Running a 25 shot would benefit me a lot.

I run the MSD cap discharge ign box, it's made for a Mustang, but I just cut the plug off and wired it in, works great.

MSD cap with blaster 2 external electronic coil, Magnecore wires.

I doubt you will pick up huge power by upgrading from stock but it should improve performance and probably keep your plugs and combustion chamber cleaner over time.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to squeeze as much performance and reliability as I can out of this setup. I just upgraded my exhaust, cat and header and I've notice a huge gain and a lot better gas mileage. I think my old cat was clogged.

I'm going to get the ignition setup and have it really fine tuned at AEBS pretty soon.

I'm still running the stock ignition setup because you really don't need an ignition until you start getting up to the 350 and up WHP ...

But you never know, you might pick up some horses with an ignition system...the only way to really find out is do a dyno sessiion without an aftermarket ignition and try to follow it up with a dyno with the ignition system in the same conditions as before....

You probally wont pickup any horsepower, but you will possibly notice smother idle, and better throttle response. Im personally running a HOndata S200 with boost and the MSD 6AL, blaster SS coil, MSD cap, stock honda rotor, and NGK Wires. The MSD ignition will reduce you chances of having a misfire when under boost. The stock honda ignition is pretty stout, if you are shooting for more than 350HP then invest the money to put and MSD setup, its easy to install. DO NOT, run just an upgraded coil, you will burn out your stock igniter rather quickly.

Im running hondata s200b with msd digital 7plus and hvc coil, But for most street cars the msd digital 6 would be plenty

The best part of an MSD (or an equal box) is that it fires the spark not once but multiple times on each ignition stroke making sure that you get a complete burn in the cylinder. At higher RPM they can make a difference when the stock ignition might be lagging a little as well as smoothing out the idle and helping throttle response. for msd

i run a honda s200b with msd cap and external coil. 9mm wires.

you should be fine with the stock setup though, with some colder plugs and gaped correctly your good to go.
