Boost on a Eclipse SMIC?
i know the dsm guys, cut off the normal outlets on it, weld some 2.5 inch'ers on there and they run 12's on stock side mount's possibly 11's but i wouldn know, im not "up" on my dsm knowledge. HTH
They could hold 25+lbs of boost. But they aren't too effiecint, you could make around 250hp with it. They do get heat soaked a lot. I have 2 of them if you are interested. pm me.
An intercooler can take whatever heat and flow you throw at it, it just becomes increasingly inefficient, and pressure drop through the core increases.
I've run 108 mph in a 3200 pound car with the stock SMIC, and made close to 300 whp. That seems to be able the normal range for better tuned cars.
Welding on bigger inlets and outlets definatety makes a difference.
I could heat soak the SMIC with 17 psi on pump gas on the street, after pulling through 2 gears.
