boost creep is freakin scary.
ive got my TIAL 38mm and all, but i was wondering what would be the most failsafe way to control my boost? i really dont want it spiking up to a million trillion psi and blowing my motor. Im thinking about gettin a boost controller, but that ran me into one more problem.
I installed a profec on my friends WRX, and he had settings from a friends car tht we just dialed right in, and the thing ran perfectly. What would i do if i wanted to run at XX bar and such. Is there a thread i havent found that explains how to find the settings we would need. thanks, peace.

I would just start at the lowest possible setting.....and just work your way up from there!!!
This is how I set my TurboXS MBC, removed the set screw so it was almost all the way out and just turned it in little by little. It sucked because I had to stop and get out of my car, pop the hood, and adjust it....but I thought it was worth it.

i think ill just get a boost controller with my initial setup with a low (something like .4 bar) spring so i have a large range of possibility.

can you explain why? (i've never heard that, but don't know anything about it)

yea ive heard this here and there, but why? ive heard of plenty of people who run 8 pounds daily w either a scramble, or a second setting for 18 at the track. whats the thinking behind this? too much wear on the solidoid?

My hondata has a boost cut off so if boost creeps to a predetermined level, the ecu will cut oout... in my case, im running a 8.5 psi spring and i have my boost cut at 10 psi.
The other day when it was freezing out, i guess the colder denser air made my boost creep slightly and the hondata kicked out at 10. Im actually pretty happy that it worked.

make sure all the vaccum lines going and coming from the WG are secure and will not blow off. also make sure there not hitting anything extremely hot so the line doesnt melt.(obviously). always have barbed fittings when connecting vaccum lines. the vaccume line blowing off of my WG was the cause of my last 2 turbo motor blows. GRRRRRRR. i hated it not only because the motor blew but because people made fun of the car because it wasnt reliable and blah blah blah. its kinda hard to explain to people who dont know jack about cars that it wasnt my motors fault it was my vaccum line!!! haha so frustrating.
