I am going to turn up the boost finally. I have been running off the Tial for a couple of months to break in my motor after the rebuild. My set up is a Ls motor with Drag kit and hondata 2b for tunning. What i need to know is with the boost regulated with the Wastegate (.45 bar spring) it has only been hitting 5 psi. I had it tuned there but now i am ready to turn it up. I just purchased a standard Turbo XS manual boost controller and want to install it. My question is can i install the boost controller before i have it tuned again? I mean the Tial spring is rated at 6.5 psi., but when i had it tuned it was only tuned at 5 psi. Right. Will i be able to tune it to 6.5 now that i have the boost controller without running lean since that it what the wastegate is regulated at. I would be covering for pressure drop. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to turn it up a bit and not have to re-tune the Hondata at all. I started at 6, then 7, then 9, even at 15 (accidentally) my car ran fine with no adjustments and that was on the AFC hack, not the venerable Hondata.
