Boost controller solenoid not working, whats going on
sup guys,
i have the blitz SSBC (street spec boost controller) the old series. today i hooked it all up and noticed when i connect the top nipple on the wastegate (boost controller nipple) to the top nipple on the solenoid,it makes my wastegate plunger open due to vaccum coming from the intake manifold. if you know how these solenoids are set up,you have 2 nipples on the solenoid. one goes from a vaccum source on the intake manifold,to a nipple (on this case the bottom one) on the solenoid, then the other nipple on the solenoid (top) goes to the top port on the wastegate to manage boost. well i hook the top nipple of the solenoid to the top port of the wastegate and the vaccum from the intake manifold holds the wastegate plunger open. why does it do this? i know its not supposed to,and never did before. isnt the solenoid supposed to be closed until you hit boost,so this wont happen, and the vaccum "sucks" the plunger up? im sure someone knows what im talking about, since the blitz SSBC isnt the only boost controller that has a solenoid set up like this. almost all electronic manual boost controllers are like this.

hahahha no other person has a electronic maual boost controler with a bleed type solenoid?
i checked to see if all the wires were getting juice and they were,so its not an electrical problem. is my solenoid defected? b/c im sure it not supposed to pull vaccum, and pull the plunger up.

heres what im talking about heres a pic that looks like my solenoid.

now the nipple on the bottom (brass part) i have going to the wastegate top port, and the 2 nipples on top (plastic part) i have the lower nipple going to my manifold. but when i hook up the lower one on the plastic part,my wastegate plunger opens, therefore its getting vaccum. im sure its not supposed to. whats going on?
