Default Boost controller questions

well i was curious about the benefits of using a manual bc to using an ebc. ive read that using an ebc can help spoolup by keeping the WG closed until the boost level is hit. can a mbc do that. i would like to get something like the profec or some other ebc but they are kinda pricey. what do you guys recommend?

both a mbc and ebc are gonna aid in quicker spool up. but the main benifits i see w/ the electronic boost controllers is the adjustability and convienence of them. also some come w/ cool features like peak and hold or speed based boost etc.

I can say after my experiences with my profec b it spools up significantly quicker with the balance turned up (keeps the valve on wastegate closed longer) than a manual boost controller. I am seeing 500-700rpm quicker spool up with the profec b over the manual ones i have tried. Well worth the money.

the apexi has plenty of features but it can be a bit confusing/complex at times. especially when you forget about some of the functions. i don't know about the ssbc's.
