is putting the boost controller inside the car a bad idea?
i always thought it would be kool to have the boost controller inside the car so i could turn it up whenever i wanted without getting out of the car...but my buddies have been telling me, it will make my boost spike, is this true?
What your talking about a manual boost controller, this is the year 2000+ where electronic boost controllers are out. You could never put a manual boost controller in your cabin because the vacuum lines would be extremly long. Just buy a electric boost controller and your done. I suggest a avc-r from apex i.

You could/can put an MBC in your car. The vac line may be long, but it is still possible. I've heard arguments right and left over the spiking issue with a long vac tube. Seeing as how Electronic BC are still quite expensive, I'd like to hear more confessionals over this issue too.

Well I guess im talkin about my personal experiences, but I once had my line a mere 10 inches longer then it should be and massive spiking would occur. Shortened the line and was gone
the basic units are less than that i believe, i have an old school gredy profec b and have never had a problem with it.
