Default boost controller

so im in the middle of rebuilding my turbo b16 but since im going to get a re-tune i want to be able to run a high and low boost. as of right now im controlling boost by bleeding off pressure with a vacuum tee(looks like a y) to the tial wastegate. i was wondering it it would be possible to just run a normal tee to a 12 volt air solenoid then tee it back in later would this work?
all i want is to be able to run high and low without opening the hood
