turboXS MBC....are they that bad?
looking at the turboXS HP boost controller. since they claim..."The ball and spring mechanism keeps pressure out of the wastegate until the preset boost level is reached, significantly reducing wastegate creep and providing quicker turbo spool up."
did a search and the opinions on them are 50/50. some say boost creep, some say there is no boost creep.
i basically want a cheap boost controller. are the worth the money?

I run a JoeP MBC, same design.
Works perfect, no creep or spikes, just ******* plants at 16psi and tells everything else to **** off lol
Got it for $25

use one on a b16 with a gt28, internally gated. creeps from 5 to 8psi.
when the same manifold, turbo, and mbc were used on a b18, crept from 8 to 11psi.
fairly sure the little rubber washer inside was useless... replacing that would probably help. it leaks.

internal gate, thats your problem

we run there dual stage on all our cars, I would say most of the 9 second sport fwd cars run em... think they work pretty good, never creeps, responce is great between stages....

they don't seem to like vacume much. i had mine installed on the throttle body, and it leaked, and the car idled really crapy. moved it over to the port on the front of the intake manifold (d16y8) and it idled alot smoother and no leaking. no idea why the location made a differance.
make sure you install them the right way or they are usless.
good overall review from me. used one on 4 cars, and about 6 diffecnt setups.

i always thought that they're suppose to be hooked up on the intake manifold side. but if i had a vacuum manifold, i wouldn't have this problem, right?

Re: turboXS MBC....are they that bad? (1.8)
yeah i run my HomeMade boost controller off of a vac manifold, with vac comming from the brake booster. This is the third boost controler ive used in a week and its the only one that holds boost like its supposed to.
check this link... it doesn't hurt to try it out... it cost me a total of almost $12. My only difference is that i used a wing nut for a jamb nut.

Re: (YASH)
like any bleed you have to turn it up to it's threshold, once there just turn it a slight bit like 1/8th of a turn and you should get a 1 psi increment...
