I have a friend who has been running on an Uber basemap for a year. Runs ultra smooth, pulls like a mother. Chip: $2 Zif socket and IC: $10. Peace of mind because Uberdata kicks serious butt: Priceless I own a burner I put together myself
that cost $63 (Batronix Eprommer 3) . People will burn you a basemap for much cheaper than buying your own burner.

so after i tune i wouldn't need the wideband anymore?

after you tune? you can always get a better tune. what happens when you switch tb's, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, wastegates, turbos, charge pipes, downpipes, exhaust setups, injectors, fuel pressure, intercoolers, filters, move to a different altitude, a colder / hotter season? all and any of these things will affect your tune.
but honestly, you won't "need" the wideband anymore.
