Default BOOSting which?

I know this has been covered many times, and yes i have searched, and im still stumped on this. well i have a b18b in my EK hatch at the moment, and im planning on boosting Very soon. the thing is i dont kno if i wanna boost the LS or boost the c1 instead. yeah i ko the c1 is best and stronger, but should i build the LS and boost that, or spend the most just swapping the b18c1 and boost without doing any interal build. i dont know. they are both good motors to boost, nice cr and one has vtec, the other doesnt. what are ur alls thoughts on this.

ls vtec with boost and build the b18c1 bottom end on the side an swap it when you ready to push over 300hp

this depends on a lot of things.....what is your power goal first off??

Honestly i like the decision i made (not like i had much of a choice in the matter). I boosted my stock internal GSR and made pretty good power on it....i turboed it about a year ago and about this time next year i'll hopefully have a simple piston/rod combo in it....if you're not looking for anything crazy and want a good street car that's also fun at the track, just get the GSR and you'll love it...either one will be good though

like i said 300hp on a ls vtec build will be enough for yuh unless your goin for a 500hp track car....either that or yuh just love wheel spin lol...... you can hold on too the gsr bottom end for a while, and build it over time, you dont have the money now so save an build later!

thanks for both of ur inputs. they sound good. LsVtec was on my mind for awhile, but i wasnt sure how reliable it was. but it just depends on how u build it. How much would this actually cost me. Approximations of bolts, headstuds, etc. Isn't it just like a plug n play. u need a conversion kit and then just replace the heads, and all that?

Also the GSR idea is nice, i really like the GSR motor. Its strong, and u can push alot out of it. My goals are just 275+. if i choose the GSR, should i just get the motor and the compenents, and keep my LS tranny? or just get the full swap?
