Blown Motors!
Okay, ive been reading a lot about people that blow their motors using Turbo's. But, they said that the only reason it happend was cuz they over boosted! So here is my question, if i am just going to be runnin 8lbs of boost, would i be better off going with the Greddy turbo kit, or the JRSC. Remember, only 8lbs of boost, on a stock 94 Teg RS. Cuz from my understanding, if i dont screw around with the turbo, i will get better gains, and it will be just as reliable, RIGHT????
I know that greddy hasnt come out with the kit for my car yet, but im waiting. And by the way, has the HKS kit come out yet??

your right...people blow their motor not because of turbo, but how they use it. if given the right care, everything will be as reliable as a JRSC. so it all comes down to what you want. you want instant power of the JRSC? or do you want the raw power of a turbocharger? i would personally go for a JRSC because it gives torque at the RPM where daily driving accures most (which most honda's lack).
Aight, so ill go with the JRSC. But what should i get to go along with it. I was thinking the upgrade kit, the water injection kit, and maybe some new pistons and rods. I was thinkin bout gettin some higher cr pistons, do you advise this??? From 9.2:1 to 10.0:1 with the JRSC. Is that okay??? Thanks for your help!

not really...until u add nitrous
blowers make madd heat yo. just turbo it...greddy has almost no lag...and plus u get the great sound of a bov and the sweet spooling sound.

Aight, ill go with the greddy turbo kit!! hahaha aight well, that is what i was originally thinking, but then i forget who told me to just go w/ the JRSC. But, i saw the dino sheets last night, and it only boosts the B18B up to 160 to the wheels. I really wanted 200 to the wheels. But greddy still hasnt come out with the kit for my car, so i have time to think.
WEll if your gonna go get pistons, rods etc.. then your no longer talking about a stock GS now are you...
go get the engine worked over and drop a turbo on it... you'll be happy and if you take care of it.. just as relaible..

Drag, Revhard, MaxRev, custom... any of these will supply 200+whp at 8psi on your car.. JRSC is *** for the LS.. 3k and you only gain 50hp... i spent 3k on my RH kit and I gained 100hp... LS is perfect for turbo dude.. the gearing, the compression, the price of our parts... Just go turbo and dont half *** it.. ie dont do greddy
