Default Blown motor, my choises

My buddy blew his b18c1. Only running 6psi with a hondata tune. I didn't take the head off but it seems like there is a big *** hole in one of the pistons. Pumping alot of pressure into the crankcase (causing the oil to burn from combustion going thru). Does not sound like ringslands because when that happens it sounds really bad. Either way if it a hole in the piston, I was thinking about just slapping some forged pistons and rods in there, but I'm not sure if they will be clearanced in there right and if I can get the rings to sit without honning the block (I really don't feel like taking the crank out).
He also has a built (the right way) allmotor LS-Vtec just sitting there 81.5mm. I was thinking about just taking rods and pistons out of that and slapping some forged pieces in there and putting that in the car.
Or just buying LS or B20 and putting that in the car.

I was wondering can someone give me some pointers on rebuilding the engine that's in there, or should I just do something else.

well if the block is good, can I put new pistons in there and rods without honning the block. Last time I took the head off like a month ago crosshatch was still there.

ait ripped the head off. Found a cracked ring land on #4 piston. Need to bore and hone the block either way, the block is scored up.

well thats not so bad, set of forged pistons and rods and that motor will be strong enough to handle some good power.
