im still trying to figure out what else it can be. hopefully i can get an msd installed on the car this week.

 

You should be able to run all OEM ignition components and not blow out the spark...

 

ya i thought that also but i guess every car is different.

 

Have you tried a different distributor? Different plugs?

 

ya i had a distributer king distributer and i changed to a oem distributer. we tried 3 sets of plugs on the dyno.

 

i discovered now that when i rev the car slowly at about 5000 rpm is hit like a limiter and drops back down to about 3000rpm i know its not the launch control because we didnt add that yet.


any ideas on what that can be?

That could be in the tune. The set-up has probably never been tuned in that area of the map.
