Blockguard? should or shouldn't i use?
i am rebuilding my z6 with
8.8:1 compression wiseco pistons
je rings
scat rods
all clevite bearings
gude ported head
crower turbo cams
skunk2 intake manifold
turbonetics t3/t4 turbo kit
do you think its wise for me to use a block guard? i've heard yes and no on other threads but i need to know if i should on my application. what are they good for? i am currently using my stock sleeves. whats a good block guard to use? can i install it in myself of do i have to have a machine shop do it?

I've been using a GE blockguard for a year and a half now with no problems. You can install it yourself, just make sure to file fit. Don't force it.

where did u get clevvete blahblah bearings for a honda d?
how much were they and are they tri-metal bearings?
and to answer your question i would not use a block guard. I bought some block posting studs from endyne and am gunna use those

There are so many different opinions about Blockgaurds. Just do what I did read about it and then come to your own conclusions.
After doing the research I went with a GE blockguard. No overheating problems.

blockguards are funny some people have had problems using them they said that the blockguard and the sleeves stretched at diffrent temps and that lead to a cracked cylinder wall

in my opinion, the stock sleeves can hold up just as much power as a motor with a block guard.it's all in the tuning.theres people on this board that have made 400+ on stock sleeves with no blockguard.put that money in tuning.thats just my .2cent

Those people had other problems and blamed it on the blockguard.
