The big post! I finally got my turbo kit, install questions and advice!!
Picked up a drag generation 1 kit for my sohc for super cheap. I will have pics up soon but I need to have a few questions answered first.
The kit came with a 12:1 fmu, do I need a bigger fuel pump or injectors to run this correctly? I will be boosting 7 lbs for now
Also it did not come with a downpipe, where do I get a flange for this?
And is there a install page for the drag 1 kits??
I am competant at installing but never a turbo, I dont want to **** up the wastegate install or the oil lines and what not.
I want to do it right the first time.
BTW if I installed and bolted everything up, what would a shop charge to connect all the lines and wiring??? I can weld and bolt up anything I need to, I just want it to be wired right the first time

Theres a Drag install thread on here somewhere, if you can weld you should be able to run the lines. As far as fuel goes a bigger pump wouldn't hurt, I'm not entirely sure if you need it though.

take your time and double check EVERYTHING! let me also pass on to you what was passed on to me. "how ever long you think it's going to take...it's going to take twice that."

you should be fine with the 12:1 i was boosting at 9lbs on a stock fuel setup with a 12:1 and i stayed rich the whole time. That is not to say that you shouldnt upgrade your fuel system but for a quick fix it will work for now
