I just wanted to update this because people think a component is always the fault when most of the time its not.

People need to take the time to learn how to use a multimeter and read a schematic.
first part made me go lolololol literally.

last part I wholeheartedly agree with.

Not gonna ly.. When I first got into the whole "import" thing, I was a idiot. Becoming a "real" thing Technician helped me learn so much, that's a fact.

Diag / Fixing right the first time, I've applied so much that I've learned from schools I've been too over to the performance world and its honestly helped me both businessly, and efficiently.. People that spend 200K+ on a car don't want to return, unless they absolutely have to.. I treat all of my customers now , like I do when I work at a dealership.

It was hard to find! Even the tuner couldnt locate it with a multimeter

It was my lack of patience and shaking the **** out of the ecu/harness that actually undid the wire lol

SO technically, it was lose yet visually looked fine

Yea it doesn't take much for voltage that high to arc around to places it's not supposed to go.

That's crazy how that would make such a difference!

I wonder if I'm the only person reading this who is now trying to remember if they replaced that part last time they had the dizzy apart.

I can remember at least once changing out parts and after putting the cap back on you see the dust shield sitting on the bench. I'm pretty sure I would usually take the 2 minutes to replace it. Guess I'm going out to the garage...

Nice man.

As disheartening of a loss it was, it was nice to see so many people from different walks of life honor him. I have friends that are heavy BMX dudes, 240 dudes, just general drifting dudes and shop/fab dudes and all were showing their respect. We even had a small meet down here in Tampa

How are you guys mounting your summit box? I saw someone had it in the glovebox?

Also, how are you guys running the wires out of the dizzy for the bypass box?

I'm trying to decipher the pictures in the instructions, did you just pulled the wires from the dizzy plug?

It's been so long since I did mine. Pretty sure the three wires that come out are the two on the two wire connector and the input signal wire from the ecu. Took coil and ignitor out and the three wires going to them. Then you use the distributor side of the two wire plug to connect power to the icm bypass and switched 12v to the summit on the black/yellow wire. Then tach output from the summit box to the blue wire.

Youll want to raise your rev liit past where you want it in your engine software and set the rev limit on the ignition box where you want it. Its a soft limiter and doesnt bang real hard its holds steady RPM and sounds badass. You can hear in the burn out and 1st gear launch is holding on the limiter of the box.

Ok cool. I think everything will make more sense once I have everything in my hand

This may be a stupid question but was I supposed to buy a coil wire? Or did it come with the cap or crane coil?

The coil wire will come in the MSD cap kit. it also comes with special ends you will have to install on your current wires. Its pretty simple just follow instructions. Hopefully you purchased the 82922 cap and not the cheaper black one. Not sure what comes with that cap but I've had those caps come apart several times on me and other peoepl i know which is why I recommend the 82922 red pro cap. Also put a little blue loctite on the rotor screw

I'm still confused about what to do now...

What wires do I not put back in the dizzy? I know the black/yellow is used and so is the yellow/green

But what about the blue wire?

And the instructions say something about a white wire

Wtf am I looking for here
