I wouldnt go that far. They can handle some moisture but I wouldnt expect them to last through consistently getting wet from weather.

I know people who have run them there with no issue, depends on if your hood covers the cowl area, Mine is an MSD 6-T so the circuitry is sealed in that goop they cover it with, it really depends on the box I guess, they can get pretty wet under the hood too

It can get fairly wet under the hood, especially if you've removed the inner fender liners and other panels that close off the engine bay.

I personally try to mount all of my electronics inside the car. Gets them away from heat, vibration, moisture, and humidity.

I try and mount everything on the firewall behind the dash behind the glovebox. That way everything is easy to access if there's a problem.

I also mount the electronics on rubber feet where I can. It isolates the components from even more vibrations and prevents any high frequency interference from the mtal on metal contact.

On my current builds I'm going to try and mount everything on a common panel so I can super organize the wiring, relays, distribution blocks, and fuses/breakers.

It makes running grounds a lot easier and you can physically label the panel for various components as opposed to the expensive printable heat shrink tubing. I still use the tubing on the engine end of the harness but you save a good bit of money by only having to do one end.

I don't know where to put it honestly. I can't put it behind the glovebox because I still have my heater core and blower motor there. The car is my daily and gets driven all winter long so removing that really isn't an option.

I don't really see the cowl being a good idea either because again, it's my daily and gets parked outside. The instructions for the summit box do say that the guts are coated in goop and there are holes to relieve the moisture but still...a little moisture and rain are two different things.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I could mod the glovebox and install some small PC fans into it so that I could put the box in there and still have adequate air flow.

I wouldn't mount it under the cowwel. It's moisture resistant not water proof lol. There's plenty of space under the hood to mount a small ignition box and coil even with abs and ps and ac

the icm delete never made it to my house..scheduled for today. dont know if im racing this weekend anymore.

my bay is way too hot and i was to steer away from putting it anywhere in there. since i am rhd, i dont have a choice but to put it somewhere near the left side of the car :/

They didn't deliver it or it didn't make it to your local Post office yesterday ? Put the box on the pass floor if your trying to make an event just rig it up until You figure out the bet solution. Get it all wired and ready to go. The icm delete box is super easy to install.

you don't need the expensive printable heatshrink, you use one of those electronic labelers, wrap the label around the wire, and heat shrink it with clear heat shrink, I have a dynmo plug and play which just plugs right into your computer, clear heat shrink is dirt cheap on ebay

Should have sent Priority Express with money back guarantee. At least you didn't have to wait a month like I heard some people had to...

Man reading that does not help My situation. I hope it doesn't take that long cause itd be a waste of money due to the motor being sold then and I wouldn't need the icm delete anymore. Sad part, I ordered it Saturday and it shipped Tuesday.

On my summit box, is it needed to wire the gray, tach, wire?

First off don't go spreading rumors. There was only one time it took longer for me to finish the units and ship them out and I notified the two customers. All ther transactions have shipped out within a day unless circumstances were out of my control in this case he paid on Saturday (after post office hours)the post office was closed on Sunday and Monday (Columbus Day)and I shipped first thing in the morning Tuesday as promised and discussed with Dana. Also if people place an order and I am waiting on materials then there is a delay but when parts arrive the units ship next day.

Dana I'm sorry the post office is screwing up but that's out of my control. I specifically asked the the post office and aend the package per what they recommend to me. He said it will arrive by Thursday when sent on Tuesday. That have an extra day for handling idk why they didn't get it to you.

Also if it arrives to late and you do not need the unit anymore I will have no problem taking it back and issuing a refund if that is what you wish to do.

Shoulda, coulda just mind your own business, and not spread lies or rumors without the facts. Justin is a very trusted seller on Ht, facebook, ebay, every buyer is and well taken care of i can promise you that, also this seems to be a Post office Issue not a issue with justin.

most post offices close about noon on Saturday, they are closed Sunday, and Monday was a holiday, I saw an ad where they are considering Sunday package delivery, which would be great

Uh, you guys do realize that USPS is a business, right? A business that is still hemorrhaging money. What you want is NOT what would make them more profitable. At all. In any way.

If it happened it happened, how is that a rumor? Just trying to make the guy feel better. I never even said if it was a shipping issue or a problem with supply. You guys clarified that... So those couple guys didn't mean anything or have pressing builds or needs? You let them know as soon as they bought it that you were out of stock and it would be weeks and if they weren't happy a refund would be issued? There is always two sides to a story, no need to sick your dog on me. Handle it professionally instead. **** happens and it is part of the industry, I wasn't trying to attack you in any way and I apologize if that's how it came off.

There is nothing worse than when a parcel delivery service promises a certain day or says it will be delivered and then changes the date to a couple days later. It happens to me with FedEx quite often. BUT there is a huge difference between supplier delay in shipment and issues with a third party shipping company delay.

USPS fucked up, and dude has already said he'll take care of it if it's an issue. I don't know why we're even still talking about it.

they are the ones running the ads, and they are losing business by closing so early on Saturday, there is always a rush of people here trying to get something out Saturday morning. They are still there and sort mail here on saturday, but close the counter, so we are talking a counter person or two. This is the same company that removed stamp vending machines that everyone used

I only had to wait about 10 days for mine. He let me know a few days after my purchase date that he was out of stock and needed to make more which was fine. Then he had some personal issues, which still is understandable because I'm a grown up with a job/etc as well and I know how it goes. **** happens. He kept me in the loop every step of the way via e-mail and got it to me as soon as he could. He offered me a discount because of my patience which he didn't have to do but he wanted to make it right. He even went as far as giving me his personal cell number for troubleshooting any issues I had as well. If that's not good service, I don't know what is. I'd definitely buy from him again. He sells a good product and seems like a cool dude.

I know from doing a lot of business on eBay and such that it's nearly impossible to please everybody when it comes to stuff like this. So keep that in mind. There are always going to be naysayers and people wanting to talk **** because they didn't get instantly gratified. At the end of the day he's providing a service to our community with a custom product that's not readily available anywhere else as far as I know.

Just my $.02

didnt mean to start anything here. but Turbo-LS did what he was suppose to do. i ordered late saturday. close sunday, holiday monday and shipped tuesday. 2 days it was suppose to get here and some **** is up with usps.

i sold a ton of items last week and everything went out on a 2 day priority on last tuesday but everyones tracking wasnt updating at all. this week on Weds, everyone started receiving their packages. USPS is ******* up some how but Turbo-ls is not at fault with my item. in others situation, as far as i can read, he has kept everyone in contact with their orders and the delays. life plays a roll and sometimes you hit stop signs. at least he provides option like he did for me and to others. also keeps track of shipments as well like he did mine. Turbo-LS, keep it up man.
