Default better block to use?

which is the better block to use a y8 or a z6 block. it will be for a daly driver running about 8 lbs.. semi built. pistons rods mild head work... all opinions apreciated.. thanks.

I shall agree. We've even put a z6 pump, pickup and pan on a y8 because of it, which left us with no dipstick (it's on the pump on the y8), but it's better than chowdered rod bearings.
