Default best block for hardcore boost?

all right guys, i've searched around and still have alot of ?s. Ive only had experience with my all motor d16z6 and I just bought an ek. I'm definitely going turbo because Im hungry for some insane power, but as far as engine blocks go, which cylinder walls hold up well against boost. I want at least 20 lbs. boost and aftermarket sleeves are an option. Im going all out on this project and I want some cubes. Is the crv-tec a good boost motor w/ sleeves? Im also looking at the H22 and GSR motors. Id really like your feedback on strengths/ weaknesses on boosting these motors and their limits in stock form. Thanks for your help.

Personally I would sleave the Z6 and build that. But if I had another choice I would go B20

BEST? Get a dart B20 block, pauter rods, pistons are really up to you, ITR head with a beefed up valve train and you will be ready for 500+ whp.

it ALL depends on you. everyone here is going to be pretty much biased towards the motor they have. you not going to get just one answer. some will say gsr, some b16, some lsvtec, and i'll say h22. since the motor is going to be rebuilt anyways it doesnt really matter. 500+whp has been made on all the motors i listed above. what's your hp goal? psi goal means nothing, because 20psi is different on every turbo. there's a huge difference in 20psi on a t3 and 20psi on a t88.

well I would boost the z6 but im selling the whole car so i can afford my ek turbo build. Can't afford two race cars And my z6 is like brand f*ing new, and it's quick, but I would rather have a boost monster. The dart b20 vtec w/ itr head was a good idea, any other opinions?

Depends on what you want to do with it.

Lots of people like to compete in the street class. I believe you are only allowed 2 power adders. . . if you swap, there goes one.

For this reason I'm sticking with a B-Series in my teg - that way if I want to run bottle and boost - It's still legal for SFWD.

to flip1199, I want around or a little above the500 hp mark. obviously i can't pick the turbo until I've decided on the motor. i know anythings possible with time and money, but is the potential in an h22 much higher than a gsr boosted just because of the displacement?

with a properly built motor and proper tuning it shoulnd't be too hard to make 500whp on a h-series or b-series.

To spool the biggest turbo you need the biggest motor. I feel like a fully built H22 head with giant ports would flow something massive.

b18c1/c5 IMO.
although like someone already said....its been done with all the motors..but ive just seen it personally around my area done with the b series

sleeves dont really matter....so many good choices...ei. benson, darton,ge ect ect
throw in some forged pistons/rods and with the right turbo set up, 500 whp is cake these days.
