Default Benson Sleeved Prelude block...Can you find the seams?

This 87mm Prelude block was finished today by Benson for Pro 4Cyl turbo racer Carey Bales. Can you spot the seams where the sleeves butt together?

Good stuff...See this block run at St Louis NOPI this week..

I seem to remember a previous post where Eral said that Benson only did closed deck sleeves on blocks that came with closed decks from honda. Some h23s if memory serves.

open deck is better for cooling. with these sleeves u dont need to close them.

i was just wondering, most are closed.....
I mean, seems like preignition would just rape those things

Stock sleeves can crack with enough detonation and poor tuning. But these iron sleeves are much stronger, so it can withstand quite a bit of abuse.

Besides, we all know that it's all in the tuning.
