boost levels on a 10:1 compression?
How much boost you think I can run on a h22a4 fully built motor with 10:1 compression and a 18G turbo? This is using 94 octane gas and pretend I have a pretty good tuner to do it. Any guesses on whp also?

if you have a standalone, I would tune it up to about 380whp and call it a day if you only plan on sticking with pump gas.

Colin, can you give me some details on what you have done to your engine and the power it is producing? Also are you running a 18G or another type of turbo?

with a good tuner 100 whp per cylinder is where you should stop. you cant set it at a boost level its got to be hp. however much boost you need to run to get it there is how much boost you can run. this is assuming you have some form of stand alone and a good tuner.

very true, my goal is 350whp, since the 18G is a 'small' turbo, I figure that I would get there with high compression and low boost (to stay in this turbo's efficiency range). I do plan to go standalone and there is a good tuner in town. Should add that I want a street car and not a all out drag car, hence the nicer drivability off boost with the higher compression. Opinions on this setup? Possible?

My motor had
GE sleeves
pauter rods
Arias pistons (flat tops) 81mm
turbo = 62-1
I tune it on pump gas at 14.7 psi for the street
and then tuned it at 21psi on c116 which made me 426whp on a clayton dyno.
