Default BEN from Importparts

Hey bro..you got a deal for RC Injectors and Fuel Pump? My fmax gsr is acting funny and I think i'ma go w/ the old fashion way instead of that stupid extra injector ****. Shoot me an e-mail @ LCPLJEFF@INAME.COM and we can discuss this.

I just really do not like pre-throttle body additional injectors. The quality on the kit is fine, but the fuel system is pretty lame if you ask me

Dustin, not calling you out or anything but why exactly do you think the pre tb injection system is lame, it appears as if you have did some research, do you care to share with the rest of us. Just curious.

I think it sucks because when the fuel sprays it doesn't spray it evenly some cylinder will get more fuel so its not evenly distributed so i've heard.

I personally like the extra injector setup.. although I will have it alot better than 2 extra in front of the TB. I am going to have 4 additional injectors, one in each intake runner.. this makes for an even fuel distribution to all cylinders.

Exactly. Additional injectors on each intake runner makes for a GREAT setup in my opinion. Stock drivability off boost, and perfect fuel delivery when in boost.

The FMAX setup does not work all that well because:

1) Injectors are before the throttle body! You end up with gas residue in all of your vacuum lines and sensors.
2) You are not guaranteed even fuel delivery to all cylinders. In fact, many people have shown that the fuel tends to locate itself more in specific cyls than other cyls.
3) At high boost levels (above 10psi) the fuel does not atomize too well in the intake tract between the injectors and the intake manifold, contributing even more to issue #2. I know a couple of guys that have lost their B16 motors to this, even though they did have enough fuel OVERALL and Fmax told them that 10+ psi was "no problem".

There are some other small things, but these are the big issues.

Dustin

After 6 months of research, i placed my order for an FMAX kit without the injectors and FMU and will be adding a hondata stage 3 with boost. I was all ready to go with the Drag othewise. I think either will provide a great setup. I'm thankful for everyone on these forums for their support and free distribution of their knowledge and experience. I am happy with my choice and support others in their choice (I guess I'm pro choice!). FMAX has been great with their support and are looking seriously at making a hondata system an option with their kits. I'll be one of the first to give it a try. Too bad I'm a bit new at this turbo stuff, but I think I'll get it right with a little help

I'll keep people posted on my efforts. I wish everyone else success with their kits. I'm sure we'll all be happy in the end.

when those injectors spray the fuel just sticks all over the manifold and its not evenly distributed

I haven't had any problems. I've been happily boosting for around 6 months now with the Fmax kit.
