UPDATE:

- The downpipe came in saturday. I got pang to weld on an o2 bung for the wideband and he also was very gracious and sent 2 free clampco v-bands!! so Last night i got the car started. I am having an idle issue that i cannot seem to narrow down.. It wont idle below 1500 rpms. i have the duty cycle on the iacv around 5% and it still wont idle. the vacuum is ok for the rpm, no leaks obviously..

Starting to think its an iacv issue being on cold start it hunts and rev's past 2000 when cold idle is around 1500 rpms, will pull off the iacv and check it for buildup etc..other than that im stumped, ive checked everything in aem possible but everything is ok..

- Another problem is with the ss wg lines. the engine vibrations transfer into the lines which vibrate on the frame, time to get some insulated clamps, very annoying noise driving down the road haha.

- Today i drove the car around for about 100 miles. The brakes are great with the new lines etc.. The car drives around much easier part throttle and runs smoother with the eltm vs log mani not to mention turbo spool time. I have not gone over 1/4 throttle because of fuel tuning with the new manifold, but when vtec hits its a different car haha.

- was going to get the car dyno'd on tuesday, but i waited to long and its full now. so sometime this week, even if i have to take off work i will, im anxious to get this thing 100 percent..

- Next plans are painting and shaving the engine bay..winter time project..

anyway onto the pics! :-)

Yo Yammy....

You got some stiff mounts in that thing or is the wastegate elbow gonna hit the frame rail when you get on it?

Yambor's engine is held in by the Grace of God.

He needs no mounts.

the wg elbow isnt going to hit. i ground down the pinch weld there a few mm to get sufficent room, it was close as it was before but i wanted extra security..the engine rotates away from the rail anyway.

although,i do plan on getting some innovative mounts in the future

So isn't this technically the "Continuation of a Failure: Part 2", since it's a new manifold and all.

Here are two graphs from today.

First one is at 16psi.. at 16psi it made more power than it did last time on 19-20 psi.

The second one is with the boost at around 20psi on the top end. The clutch start slipping at anything higher than 18psi so it has a little wave in the graph from the clutch.

Overall it was a 80-90 whp gain over the Log manifold!

Now it is time for another pressure plate and some race gas!

Dyno plot time.

Yambor's newest manifold setup at 20psi (solid) and 16psi (dotted).

His clutch didn't like things very much in the last two runs.

Here's his newest setup (solid) versus his old log manifold setup (dotted).

And the pressure graph between the two setups on high boost. (Pink=New)

Jeez, what a turd!

This thread is too funny considering the old times, I love how everyone that posted in 08 was like this s2k will never make 400whp+ reliably... Yet ppl are pushing 700whp+ on un opened stock blocks nowadays. Good job getting the car built and tuned sounds like your having fun, be safe with it...somewhat
