base map question
does anyone have or know where I can find a turbo basemap for a d16y8 just something to start off with trying to tune it with crome

just go ahead and use the boost tools. its pretty east to make a base map. use 120% efficiency for fuel and .75deg/lb of boost.

No, but no basemap is. Too rich or too lean are both bad. So is too retarded and too advanced timing.
Each cause damage in their own way. One more then the other. The reason why basemaps aren't reliable is because not only is each setup different, but simple things like unsynched timing or a bad flowing injector, etc etc are going to effect the tune.
Please just make a little basemap and set boost cut at like 2 PSI. Leave it in closed loop and everything will be fine until you get to a tuner

yea, if you understand how it all works, a basemap is really simple...
you are still kinda flying blind if you dont have a wideband to check the a/f
