What are the effect of have a bad knock sensor on a turbo motor? Cause mine has seen its last breath. Now show a code 23.

 

I'm getting the code as well.

I'm trying to figure out how to troubleshoot it.

 

I ran over 2 months w/ a broken knock sensor with no problems at all (aside from the CEL)

 

Yeah well... I have 2 codes... Knock sensor and VSS (speed sensor). My car won't start up every now and then. Yesterday it died on me, going down the street. It started back up, before I came to a stop. I don't know what's going on. It's really pissing me off and I can't seem to figure it out.

my car did the same thing to me. I was just drive and it cut off on me.

 

So what did you do to fix it?

 

i ran for a long ******* time and raced with a bad knock sensor , if your car is tuned and is safe youll have no problem .

i just got my motor back together and its throwing a 23 again , the knock sensor isnt that old but i think its cause my block is built now.
