b20vtec turbo... no vtec?
so we installed my friends turbo in his b20vtec civic and we take it for a test drive and the vtec isnt kicking in. the plug was connected and everything but it just wasnt going. when we tapped it for the oil for the turbo we just put a tee at the end of the vtec line and ran it to the turbo. do you think the vtec isnt kicking in cuz of the lack of oil pressure? is there a way we can make the pressure go up? my friend is running a p28 chipped and vafc controller. please help..
install a oil pressure gauge and see what it reads... in my CRX it went up to 60psi at 7000rpm.
if you don't see a good amount of pressure, that's your problem.

whats a good amount of pressure? did you have the golden eagle sandwich plate or did you have just straight up fittings and tee's??
it was just tee fittings and hoses. but i didn't have a vtec head it was just a ZC engine. anyways at full throttle i saw 60psi+ of oil. around 4800rpm it was about 45psi. It has got to be somewhere around there for your vehicle. good luck
