Default B20B/Z stock sleeve thickness

Can somebody please verify if these are really thinner than LS stock sleeves. I find it hard to believe they are bored out LS sleeves since you have to order blockguards/sleeves specifically for B20 applications whereas B16/17/18 are the same. If you don't know for sure please don't post. I think there is misinformation from people who don't know but think they do.

yeah I would also like to know cause i'm building a b20b vtec turbo right now. There's been alot of folks tellin me that the b20 sleeves are weak. Is it because most of these b20 boosted blocks didn't have their crank balanced?

not it is because they are dumb and dont tune the ****... mine has taken 14+ psi all year and can hit 11's on slicks STOCK everything , no vtec of course if you go that route dont tach too high or it will break

They arent accually thinner if you measure the sleeve, it is accually thicker than normal b series. Its just the sleeve design, they are one piece and thin inbetween the cylinders. Here is a photo of my blown up b20 sleeves. its weird the way they cracked and followed the line where the sleeves are pressed together. I blew all 4 cyls like this. Some ppl have great luck with the b20, others dont. I wouldnt put your money into it unless your going to build it or run low boost.
