Icon2 b18b whp tolerance...

they say max 200whp for d series stock internals, and i kno the b series are stronger, so
how much whp, roughly, can a stock b18b hold...j/w because my d series boosted is only for the
next yr while i get rdy for my swap, i plan to push 12psi on the b18b, thanks in advance!
btw my whp goal is 250-275 if that matters.

Generally, stock internal B series are safe into the low 300whp range with a good tune. Don't base your goals in terms of psi...as others will inevitibly tell you, it is an irrelevant measurement. Read through the FAQ if you want to know more...

is the 250-275whp goal realistic with a stock ls on 12psi, with a good tune?

absolutely realistic goal.

at 240hp i ran my 215k mile stock ls motor through hell (overheated it, ran it way lean on the dyno etc. still ran like a champ when i took it out to go vtec)

Very realistic, as others were saying they have a ton of them in the LS-T forum.

OP, your tuner will use whatever psi your setup will give him to make 275 whp. It may take less psi to get that goal, or it may take more, it all depends on whatever size turbo you will be using.

Psi is just the level of pressure measured at the intake manifold & MAP sensor, so in your case, dont let the amount of psi concern you.
