Default B18B turbo HELP

I have 97 B18B turbo (fmax kit), blew the motor in less than an hour. I spent a lot of money and got a built B18B (new motor). The motor was installed the compression is very strong and the timing is perfect. Yet it is still idling very rough and white smoke is pouring out. This what is originally did when it blew. I noticed I had oil in the exhaust side of the turbo and in the downpipe. could my turbo be bad already. can you post pics of the tap in the oil pan should be. I think it was tapped too low and it is slightly angled upward. Could this be causing the problem? Cause its not the motor.

If your car is idling rough and pouring out smoke its your motor. Cant blame it on the turbo at all. I believe white smoke means coolant is being mixed in. Might wanna pull your plugs and see if they are really rich or lean.

With the idling thats probably b/c you need to get the car tuned with something like hondata to get it to idle like a stock car. GL

WHITE SMOKE coming out of exhaust ------> CRACKED CYLINDERS!!!! By the way...do you happened to "crank up" the boost because if I'm not mistaken Fmax turbo kits come stock with 7-8psi...

I have 9psi spring in my tial wastegate and boost gauge was reading 7.5-8psi. This however is a completely different motor. It doesn't have a sweet smell to it like a traditional coolant leak. The compression test was very strong. I'm thinking it is the turbo due to the original motor failing.

i dont see how a bad turbo would cause white smoke.. white smoke + bad idling usually means cracked ringlands on the pistons.. IF it idles like a WRX and sounds like one then its def the ringlands...

if the tap is installed wrong and the oil can't return. It will build up and leak into the exhaust turbine and dump into the dp and that would cause smoke right?
