Default b16b w/ ls crank: will it be ok?

well im boosting a b16b... i was thinking about some other little things i could do to help with some more hp. a thought came to mind about using a ls crank! but im not to sure if everything will work out right w/ piston to valve clearence, ect, ect.... anyone have any experience with this kinda setup? and is it a good idea or not?

There's no reason why it wouldn't work, since the B16B block has the same deck height as the B18 blocks. If I recall, the only tim you would have valve to piston clearance problems is if you try to adjust cam timing too much with stock LS pistons, or if you've milled the head or block. That said, you'd probably want to upgrade to forged internals anyway if you have everything apart so that shouldn't be an issue.

the ls crank is not as balanced as the b16b crank, you will be killing some of your high revability (that and your altering your rsratio) anyways, just make sure to get the crank fully balanced or just get an itr crank rod and pistons, either way you need to get rods and pistons to match your crank unless you want 44:1 compression (ls crank alone in a b16b=44:1compression).
