Hi Johnnyboy323,

By Power Air Cooler box, I'm assuming you mean the Vortech air-to-water intercooler. If so, then it's not necessarily "bad" running without it; but it really depends on how much boost you're running. If you're running the charger with less than 10psi, then any kind of mechanical intercooler (air-to-air or air-to-water) will only drop boost pressure. Now, if you're running more than 10psi, then the Power Air Cooler is probably a good idea.

As for your second question, a 4-2-1 (like a DC header) will give you excellent street manners while freeing up some ponies. If you go with a 4-1 race header, you'll probably see a bit more top-end power, but you'll be sacrificing a lot in low-end AND you'll see a significant drop in fuel economy. So unless the car is a dedicated track-day vehicle stick with a 2 piece 4-2-1 header.

Hope that helps.

Oh ok. How much boost is safe for a stock fuel? Also is there any dyno graphs on here for the best exhaust size like 2.5,2.75 or 3 inch pipping thanks man...

Initially, the maximum boost you can run on pump gas will largely depend on compression ratio. How high of a compression ratio are you going to run in your B16?

As for dyno graphs comparing exhaust sizes, my suggestion is to perform a search using the forum's search function. With luck you'll find something. My personal feeling is that going larger isn't always the best solution. You might find a large exhaust will give you more peak horsepower, but all your low-end power suffers. And in some cases, that peak horsepower is so high up in the rev-band, that you almost never use it anyway (unless you're always on the track).

Oh ok well I got a bone stock b16a2 I'm just saving money on tunning it. Right now is boosting like 7-9 lbs.. Yeah I got tired of searching LOL also I have a qtp cut out right is a 2.25 and I have the stock catback with a gutted cat and I feel the power better when the cut out is closed. Which one you think is best to stay with the cut out or to get a high flow cat and a catback? Thanks...
