B16A3 bottom end
Nippion replacement pistons
Stock rods
ACL bearings
ARP rod bolts and main studs
Crank polish
Cylinder hone
Rods reshaped

Still deciding on what head work to do. Currently just have a completely stock b16 head. Will probably upgrade the single valve springs to dual valve springs from a GSR.

Only shooting for sub 300whp for a DD.

Upgrade the valves, valves springs and retainers. Get GSR cams. If you can find type R cams, even better. The block would nice if you had forged rods and pistons. Just sayin...

Only looking for 300whp. Forged internals seemed over kill.

I'll probably upgrade to b18 dual valve springs, possibly cams after boost.

Not sure on valves though. Any info on why I should?

I dont thinks its over kill. Its more like a little security knowing that the block will hold the boost even though it can handle the boost. I guess I'm speaking more of the future than anything else cuz once you feel that turbo kicking in, your gonna want more power! I know from expierince lol!!!

Hell yea.... another turbo honda from ohio.

Youll be good on a completely stock b16. I made 285whp/188wtq mustang dyno, back when i had a stock motor.

Once your ready for more boost, you obvisously need to build your internals. Boost causes as much stress on the valvetrain as it does on the block. When you do build your valvetrain, get steel retainers. Cams arent a must necessarily.

Hell i made 364 mustang dyno on b16 cams at 18psi. At that point i new i needed bigger cams. After upping the boost and not getting any gains kinda screams whats needs to happen

Your gonna need 400 to 430 hp to hit tens. I have 404 hp at 20 pounds of boost with a garrett 57 trim. and my best time is 11.2 It can be done though. If I'm nit mistaken, CRX is lighter than an civic dx hatch?

The car should weigh around 2000lbs with me in it. Do you know what your car weighs with you in it? Even if I get a 10.99 ill be happy with that.

92 civic dx hatch model with the 1.5l engine weighs 2190. I have a b16a2 in it and me at 160 pounds, I say the car weighs 2450 pounds. I'm adding 100 pounds of motor to that total...

If your weighs under 2,000 with you in it. With 400 HP you will hit tens, if you know how to drive. For every 100 pounds is a tenth.

What transmission you using?

Im gonna start with a cable b16 just so I can get the car done and out on the track. Eventually I plan to convert to hydro and run a gsr.

Idk man with your car weighing 2450lbs race weight and 400hp hitting 11.2, I think at 2000lbs with like 380ish, some slicks, and good suspension will do the job along with some good driving from myself of course. We will see though.

Damn your not even in the 300's as far as horsepower goes. Go get a dyno tune and crank that boost up. You think its fun now, go make like 300-350 and you'll smile ear to ear lol.

Idk why ppl seem so weird about crossing the 300hp mark with stock B16's. That's what it seems like from what ive seen in this thread.

Thats coo. I feel you there. But converting to hydro GSR is definately the way to go. I use an lsd gsr trans and in my opinion its perfect for turbo cars! I have good slicks MH 24.5X8.5X13 on lenso, good suspension (tein) as well....

Most likely its a daily driver and its the first time boosting. I remember when my first tune was at 264 hp, then went to 327hp and now currently at 404hp. And I plan on going higher lol!!!

A little update on my B16a2 turbo. Just took it to the track this past Friday and ran a personal best of 11.1 Didn't make any power changes. Just made changes to how I launched off the hole (no two stepping) and worked very well.

Three years of daily driving, winter driving, driving to the track, race at the track, drive it back from the track, and this year alone I made over 20 passes and still running strong. I am a happy dude that walks all over just about anything in the streets lol....

Anybody else got b16a2 turbos thats still running.....?

just give a vague figure like 3000$

in the spring I am looking to tune the b16a bone stock it sits abouts 250whp im shooting for about 325 or less depending how my tuner feels. it will require a bigger map sensor though I dont think 11lb will cut it..

still on an ebay 57trim dyno tuned on chrome 680cc injector walbro255 etc

If your using a 57 ebay trim then your right, the stock map sensor wont do it.
