aight guys these b16 turbo set up's are dope! alright so i'm gonna prob boost my healthy *** b16 in the next month or so, i got a compression of 175 180 185 180, wet comp with 180 185 190 185, leakdown was less than %10 in all cylinders, with no leaks anywhere. so previously i was planning on rebuilding my motor, basically eagle h beam rods, and je pistons, headstuds, ect. but i thought. since my motor is so healthy and it pulls real hard for being a b16. its original, never been rebuilt. so i'm thinkin, how much power would my b16 handle, with stock pistons stock rods/bolts. but at least with better thicker headgasket, maybe cometic, or maybe just stick with oem, and with some arp headstuds. now i'm curious how many people have been successfull with stock blocks pushed to high hp. now i know one of my buddies got there bone stock gsr, with only arp headstuds, stock sleeves, no block guard crap, to about 375 hp 17lbs on 60-1. tuned by servion, in colorado. was driven on street alot and taken to the track everychance he had. still did amazing. so i'm curious. has anyone else pushed a stock b16, just arp headstuds to the limits? if so what kind of results?

the thing that would worry me the most are the rods and piston's and a little on the bearings. so about where would my threshold be?

from my experience its more important that each cylinder is within 10-15 of each other, rather than how high the actual number is.

uh, alldata says stock, highest compression reading should be at 184. 210 stock compression reading? uh. . . . so your saying honda is wrong. . . . anyways, the numbers are within range and perfect leakdown test. so i still haven't got my original question answered.

B16 boost runs hard.
Ls... to many that i know of dont hold up.
not against Ls but B16 is a good boost , even for every day driving
stock B16 on 8 lbs (daily driver)

390whp for 17psi isnt bad even if it has built bottom, unless it has some decent head work.

Wow I was suprised when I read this I have almost the same setup on 17psi made 380whp 275wtq, I dont think my intercooler was helping though...I was making great power on lower boost, then when I started turning it up while tuning I didnt see very eficent gains...Ebay intercooler...Now I have full-race going for 550whp
