Default b16a turbo set up

gettin back to you guys about my setup . couldnt find my old thread to continue it so i started a new one . ok i have found a tuner near me and have been researching this car and what it has . first it does have stock injectors in it now . i will be buying 550cc injectors and a walbro 255 pump . the ecu is a p06 which has been chipped for vtec and turbo . now the question i have is what kind of turbo can i put on here to get as much boost SAFELY going thru a STOCK B16A ? it has a crappy ar 50 m12 turbo on it and it will need to be replaced because the seal is leaking oil . what turbo will fit on my setup in place of the crap i have now . once i finish these couple of things i will take it to a tuner to get it right . any suggestions ??

b20beast has the right idea of the turbo ... but I would run it at 8 psi. I know some guys run up to 15 psi on a stock internals but personally I think over 10 at the very most is very hard on the engine.

you cant really set a max psi level on it. its all about the power that the motor is making. I've seen just over 300 hp on plenty of stock b16 setups. Some with even more on e85.

in my opinion the turbo stated above (50 trim t3/t4) is a good match for the b16 and not too expensive.

well I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound like there was a max psi you can run on stock internals. As I said theres guys that run 15, 16 psi on this stock motor theres no limit untill your engine breaks. I'm mostly just trying to get the idea across that i personally wouldn't run over 8 ..

I run a 57 trim with a 63 ar on my b16 and am very happy with it, forget about psi just get it tuned and keep it under 300 hp you should be fine. Mine has been going strong for over 2 years.

The point they are tying to make is you cant go by psi on whats reliable or not, your 8 psi could be 200hp or 300hp depending on the setup.

for the most part psi is a good indicator on how hard you can run your engine.

check the FI market place on this site there are a couple of vendors with good prices
a example https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-49/garrett-turbochargers-intercoolers-gauges-tial-wastegate-hks-tial-greddy-blow-off-valves%2A-2321264/ Yes you can use dsm 450cc injectors but your not gona get much over 280hp out of them, you will also need a resistor box with them. For plugs I use the ngk bkr7e .030 gap
