I speak from personal experience, in the long run it will not be free. But if you insist on using it t off the vacuum line that runs to the fuel pressure regulator.

LOL

Save your money. Get a chipped ecu for sub $100. Use freeware until you can afford a good ems like hondata.

Do some searching and get rid of that fmu. I'd would rather use the stock fpr.

Dude. shhhh. You were eight years old when guys were running 9s with FMUs. yeah, a FMU sucks compared to modern options, but for you to suggest running stock 1:1 regulator over an fmu proves that you're just stringing words together for the fun of it.

Eleven years ago I was running a FMU on my D.D sohc turbo. It worked flawlessly with 370 cc injectors and an SX fpr. the car ran 12.0's just pulling a sub box out slapping on slicks and turning the boost up, and 11.30's in a gutted crx after that..This was before we had other options like Hondata, Crome, etc. There are much better methods of management available today, but that doesn't make FMU's junk, just old school technology.

Yeah, Im young and I wish I could stay this age. I have used a fmu before, but I just found it easier at the time to use a stock regulator because of the tuning software offered today. He did ask how to install a fmu so im going to post how I did it: First I put a T fitting going to my fpr and ran a line to the vacuum port on the fmu. Next I took the stock return line off the fpr and put it on the outlet of the fmu. Then I ran a hose from the fpr to the inlet of the fmu. It worked for me, but I might be wrong so please correct me if needed.

Not true, I ran 27 psi on a FMU. 14.5 psi daily driving for over 2 years.

The difference is there were no other options back then. No Hondata, crome, nothing. It was a crude way of adding fuel, but it can be done. Just make sure you have an assortment of diaphragms. The motor was a D16a6 block, LS rods rebushed for sohc wristpins, arp rod bolts, srp pistons, stock D16z6 head. Garrett T3, RC 370's, SX fpr.

This is a good thread regarding fmu tuning

https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/old-school-tuning-its-finest-1426775/

search for more threads by him as there is a part2&3 I think.
