B16A with GT35
Hey guys I did a bunch of searching on b16a builds with a gt35 turbo but all i could find was gt35r builds and from what I have searched they are larger cartridges than the gt35. I got a really good deal on this gt35 with .70 cold side and .58 hot side housings with a garrett gt35 ball bearing cartridge which is why i got it. My current goal is to save some cash and go for around 300 whp on 8 to 12 psi on stock b16 till it blows and then ill swap in my other built block down the line. My problem is that everywhere i look i see people being really laggy with this turbo till way late in power band and I like a faster spool. Can anyone point me in right direction of threads i havent found or maybe give me some advice on how i can achieve faster spool possibly with these power goals? Sorry for essay. I can post pictures of turbo if it helps

Re: B16A with GT35
If you want 300whp, you bought the wrong turbo. A simple T3/T04e 50 trim would outspool/outperform that GT35r and will still make the power you want. IMO, sell the GT35R and PM TheShodan about the GT3255 series...it is a nice half way between the standard Garrett T series and the GT-R ballbearing series. That turbo brand new should be ~$8-900.
When looking for a turbo, you dont need any more than about 40-45lb/min to safely reach your goal. That should help you narrow down the selection

You can use the links above as reference but the prices on the T series turbos are waaaay expensive...you can find new non-GT/GTX Garretts for $7-800
