Default B20B catch can to atmosphere hose routing HELP

I need some help with routing a oil catch can with breather filter to a B20B non vtec. There is no black box on the block b/c the PCV valve is on the valve cover and a hose runs from the valve cover to the intake manifold. I have a turbo on my car and just want to vent to atmosphere.

Do I just run one line off the catch can to the inlet nipple on the valve cover and then run the other side of the catch can to a fitting that would replace the pcv valve? Everything I find is for a vtec head or an engine with the black box. The other option I see is to get fittings from honda that replace the freeze plugs in the back of the block and cap off the valve cover and intake manifold.

Thanks for the help.

I'm just going to run the lines to the back of the block and vent the can. Already ordered the fittings and washers.

I would leave the stock PCV in place. It's a one way valve, so boost won't be pushed into the valve cover. You need the PCV under light throttle and cruise.

The best way to use the catch can is to have -10 or -12 AN fittings welded onto the front of the valve cover and connect them to the top of the catch can. I personally don't like having a catch can drain back into the block. I prefer to drain the can myself and not back into the engine.

So, do I just route from the PCV on top the valve cover to the catch can inlet and then from the catch can outlet to the Intake manifold for vacuum and plug the filter on the catch can and add a filter on the inlet of the valve cover for clean air? So confused on all this. I actually had it like that and drove the car to test it and the hose collapsed going to the intake maniold. Looking for some stronger hose. I disconnected it and just ran the stock system until I figure out how to route this.

If I can keep it a closed system safely, I would like to b/c I do daily this car. It's not built for racing really. I built a nice turbo daily that will be easy to pass people and have fun when I want to.

Leave the stock PCV as it is. Don't tie it into the catch can.

Btw, what kind of catch can did you get?

This is the can I got. It's baffled and the inlet has a hose on the inside that brings the entering gases/oil passed the baffle to the bottom of the can. It has an otional drain but I will just manually drain the can. The big plug plugs the filter if you choose a closed system.

You said to leave the stock PCV as is and not to tie it into the can. How do I keep that in place and make this system work? I don't know why this is so complicated. Just can't really find much info with this valve cover for some reason.

that doesn't look half bad for a catchcan, even an ebay one.

Yeah it's really not a bad quality can material wise. I will see how well the baffles work but it seems like a good design. I did get it from ebay but the company is called VMS.

Here is a link. Wasn't the cheapest but not over $100.

from my experience over the years, the back of the block fittings are much more prone to push oil into the can compared to anything coming off the valvecover.

remember the stock pcv doesnt work when boosting as the pressure in the manifold keeps the valve shut
