close to 300whp...but OH MY, look at the torque i wouldn't trade my LS for a B16...maybe for a b18c1/5. but i love the simplicity of not having to tune vtec. like most people have said, the LS has an awesome balance of tq and hp.

OT but i'm able to pull my buddy's turbo'd SI w/305whp over and over and over again. even on the highway in 5th gear. but then i have a gsr tranny.

What makes me wanna puke is shoving 20+ psi into a weak sauce B16A and only putting out 250wtq...

After tuning civicflnum1's LS, I'm a beliver. Having gobs of low end torque is alot more fun than peak numbers

b16's are a dime a dozen and cheap aswell.
since on one wants them anymore.

personally id go with the vtec motor

same set ups the b16 will always be faster.
its been discussed enough times.

but if you have a b18b..then keep it..if you have a b16..then keep it.

gobs of low end can lick my taint when it comes to FWD cars.

Actually I'd argue a B16A will have more area under the curve, especially when we're talking about a further 1500-2000 rpm... especially when you consider that a b16 will easily take 8500 rpm Just 'cause one line's higher for a bit doesn't mean the total area is greater.
