b16 t3/t4 what kind of oil?
i'm sure this has been covered before, but i'm putting a t3/t4 on my b16. i was running royal purple 530, thinking of just running conventional 530. think this should be a decent choice?
should i go a higher viscosity, or will 530 do the job?

5w30 and 10w30 are the same viscosity when hot.
5w30 and 10w30 should work fine if the engine is pretty much stock with the stock bearing clearences.
you could step up to a 5w40 or 10w40 for some added oil pressure since the engine oil will get hotter than normal with a glowing hot turbo in the system. slighly thicker oil wont hurt anything.

i used Royal Purple 5w30 and it was too thin...it would pass the compressor side seal on hard boost for some reason...switched to 10w30 and i havent had a problem since
