b16 stock turbo
searched* didn't find what i was looking for.
I have a stock jdm b16 turboed. my turbo set up is a greddy 18g boosting ~6 lbs. i have been tuned using a wideband w/uberdata. I recently have been starting to burn oil. i will be doing a compression test soon but am pretty sure it's my rings. I was wondering, since i don't have money pouring out of my ***, but do have some new rings, if i replaced the rings, and got a new headgasket to lower compression, i should be ok, but for how long, and what kind of boost can i safely put down b/f things like rings/ringlands start to go? tia

I mean what timnig are you running when you are at 6psi. You wanna have boost retard in there as boost builds otherwise you may detonate, and that could be waht you did, detonated the **** outta your rings.
