B16 Turbo compression results
I felt the need to check out my compression due to whitish smoke coming out the exhaust at startup, so I was suspicious of the rings.
But anyway, dry
its:
Tranny - 175 - 165 - 145 - 160
and with the oil trick
Tranny - 180 - 180 - 165 -180
So Im pretty sure my rings are being the suck, I mean she runs good still and boost great, but now I know somethings up.
Compression is lowered to 9.2:1, so its not in the 200+'s Ive seen, but its close to the 184 optimum when its wet.
Anyone have any comments, or input?
The one is lower, so that has me concerned

If this is a stock B16, those numbers are fairly low. #4 didn't really increase much with the addition of the oil, but you gained some 20psi in the other 3 chambers. Looks like your rings may be on the way out.

Re: B16 Turbo compression results (VTC_CiViC)
As I said, I have 9.2:1 compression pistons if that matters
Id assume that would lower the numbers

Opps, I missed that
Those numbers aren't too far off from 9.2:1, but I'd still wonder why you gained a nice chunk of compression after you did a wet test.
